How do I book a shoot?

Booking a shoot is easy! Simply contact me via phone, email, or Send me a message using the contact form with your date, location, and what you need photographed (wedding, event, portraits, commercial, etc.). If I’m available, I’ll reply with package options (or a tailored quote) and confirm the details. Your booking is secured once the deposit is paid and the booking is confirmed in writing.

What areas do you cover?

I’m based in Tuatapere, Southland, and I photograph weddings, events, and commercial work across Southland and Western Southland. Travel beyond my local area is available and may include a travel fee depending on distance.

Do you travel?

Yes. I’m based in Tuatapere and I regularly travel across Southland (and further when needed). If your shoot is outside my local area, travel costs may apply depending on distance. I’ll always confirm any travel costs upfront before you book

When will we get the photos?

When will we get the photos?
You’ll usually get a sneak peek within a couple of days. Final delivery depends on the type of shoot:

Weddings: typically around 3 weeks

Events / car shows: typically within 4 days

Real estate: typically within 3 days

If you have a deadline, tell me when you enquire and I’ll confirm what’s realistic.

How many photos will we receive?

It depends on the type of shoot and how long I’m photographing for, but you can expect a solid set of fully edited images, not a dump of near-duplicates. As a rough guide:

Weddings: typically 300–600+ photos (depending on coverage)

Events / car shows: typically 80–250+ photos (depending on the size of the event)

Real estate: typically 20–40 photos (depending on the property)

If you tell me what you’re booking and how long you need, I’ll give you a more accurate estimate upfront.

Do you provide RAW files?

No, I don’t provide RAW files as part of a booking. RAW images are unfinished working files, and the final look of your photos comes from the editing process. You’ll receive a curated gallery of fully edited, high-quality images ready to download, share, and print.

Can we share the photos online?

Can we share the photos online?
Yes, absolutely. You’re welcome to share your photos on social media. You’ll receive a web-sized version that’s ideal for Facebook and Instagram, and I also provide high-resolution versions for printing (depending on what you purchase/download).

If you’d like, please tag Advento Photography and include credit when posting. It helps a small local business survive in the wild.

Do you offer prints and albums?

Yes. You can order professional prints directly from your online gallery, and I can also organise albums on request. If you’re not sure what sizes or products are best, tell me what you want to do with the photos (wall prints, gifts, keepsake album) and I’ll point you in the right direction.

What happens if it rains?

Rain won’t ruin your photos. I’ll work with whatever the weather does and adjust plans on the day. If it’s a light shower, we can often keep going with a few tweaks. If it’s heavy rain, we’ll shift to sheltered locations, use covered areas, or adjust the schedule where possible.

For portraits (or anything flexible), we can also reschedule if the weather is genuinely terrible. For weddings and fixed events, we simply adapt and keep the day moving.
